Tell Edfu: Uncovering a provincial capital

The site of Tell Edfu in southern Egypt, situated halfway between Aswan and Luxor, has been the former capital of the 2nd Upper Egyptian province. The uniqueness of Edfu is characterized by the presence of more than 3000 years of ancient Egyptian history still standing in one place.
